Odoo Inventory and Warehouse Management

Control purchasing, receipts, storage, transfers, replenishment and fulfilment through connected stock workflows.

M&J configures Odoo Inventory around warehouses, locations, products, units, routes, users and financial controls. The objective is reliable operational stock, not merely a new stock screen.

Valuation reconciled before go-live, because stock that does not agree with the ledger is not control.

Why a system alone does not fix stock accuracy

Inventory accuracy is an operational discipline, not a software feature. Odoo records what your team does: receiving, moving, picking, counting and adjusting. If those actions are inconsistent, the system reports the inconsistency faithfully.

That is why our implementation covers ownership and controls, not only configuration, and why we reconcile valuation against Odoo Accounting before go-live rather than after.

Connected Odoo applications

Common implementation risks

  • Going live on an opening count that was never properly reconciled
  • Inconsistent units of measure across products and suppliers
  • Routes configured for an idealised flow rather than the real one
  • Valuation method chosen without finance input
  • Barcode workflows assumed rather than tested on the floor
  • Permissions that let anyone adjust stock without approval

Make stock movement visible

Tell us how goods physically move today, how many locations you run and where stock records stop matching reality. We will scope the routes, controls and opening count.

  • Discovery first: we scope against your processes before proposing modules
  • Configuration reviewed by people who understand the accounting, not only the software
  • Capability confirmed for your Odoo version and edition, never assumed

Frequently asked questions

What businesses ask before committing to an Odoo project. Version, edition and hosting change several of these answers, so we confirm them against your intended setup.

Ask about your setup

Can Odoo handle several warehouses?

Yes, subject to configuration of companies, warehouses, locations, routes and access.

Does the system fix inaccurate stock?

No. Accurate stock needs disciplined receiving, movement, picking, counting and adjustment processes. Software records what people do; it does not correct undisciplined handling.

Can inventory connect to accounting?

Odoo apps can connect stock and accounting, but valuation methods, accounts and workflows must be properly designed.

Can barcode processes be included?

Potentially. Hardware, labels, scanning scenarios and connectivity should be tested in the operating environment before you commit to a barcode-driven workflow.
